# Model commands

> Reference for langalpha models list, the CLI command that lists the models you can pick for a turn or automation and who each one bills to.

Source: https://docs.langalpha.ai/cli/models/

Each command also takes the [global options](https://docs.langalpha.ai/cli/overview/#global-options).

## models list

The models you can pick, and who each one bills to.

```sh
langalpha models list
```

Prints each model's name, its provider, and who a turn on it bills to: your LangAlpha account, the server's own key, your API key, a subscription you signed in with (and whether you are still signed in), or nobody for a local model. A model you added yourself is marked "(yours)". A model you cannot use yet says why: it is not on your plan, or it needs your API key.

Pass a name from this list to `-m` on [`threads new`](https://docs.langalpha.ai/cli/threads/#threads-new), [`threads send`](https://docs.langalpha.ai/cli/threads/#threads-send) or [`automations create`](https://docs.langalpha.ai/cli/automations/#automations-create). [Models and keys](https://docs.langalpha.ai/concepts/models-and-keys/) explains the ways to connect a model.
